This is an example of a deck that’s been streamlined to the point where it works at a success rate of nearly 100%, even with just 3 LV4s.

This is your only option for a Normal Summon. Don’t worry, it’ll be fine.

I’m sure some of you remember this classic decktype, now revived with Demise’s unlimit. The deck should also explain itself really. But, just in case you don’t know, let’s go over some of the deck’s cards and see if anyone learns anything.

Demise: I shouldn’t need to explain this, but Demise is the best ritual monster in the game. Now, the idea here is to summon him, nuke for 2000, and abuse every minor detail about him. Being a LV8 DARK Fiend Ritual means that he can use Contract with the Abyss to send any of the other LV8s for his cost. On top of that, he can be used as a target for Allure, Dark Calling, Trade-In, and Manju. His nuke also happens to decrease your LP, making the newly-Semi-Limited Megamorph double the ATK of any given monster you want. Using it on Demise himself already gives you a 4800 ATK beater who can nuke.

Contract with the Abyss: Most people see this card and ask me why I run this when the restrictions are tougher, needing the exact level. I always respond with the fact that End of the World also needs an exact level, along with the facts that not only will I only be able to pay exact amounts, but this actually allows me to summon The Masked Beast is necessary.

Valkyrion/The Masked Beast: Both of these are LV8s, so they can be used with Trade-In and Contract. Valkyrion is also the standard choice when picking a Rock monster for Dark Gaia, being the strongest one in the game. The weird choice here is The Masked Beast. Most people opt for Neosphere/Des Gardius for their Fiend for Dark Gaia, but The Masked Beast has a few advantages in exchange for some ATK that you won’t need anyways. First and foremost, Manju can search it. Secondly, you can use it for the costs of Trade-In/Contract, unlike the other Raviel. On top of that, you can actually summon it with Contract, unlike Neosphere and Gardius. A 3200 ATK beater isn’t anything to sneeze at.

AGGD/Geartown: Odd choices? Not really. AGGD has all of the benefits of LV8s that I’ve mentioned a few times here. Also, Demise’s nuke can destroy Geartown to bring AGGD out from the deck. When that happens, equipping Megamorph to AGGD is an OTK already. Also, since Geartown can fetch it from the grave, I don’t have to care about dumping it with Trade-In.

Dark Gaia/Dark Calling: This thing is an OTK on its own. Valkyrion + Demise is the weakest combo this deck can use to bring it out, but then it has 5900 ATK. With Decree stopping traps, or Demise eliminating them with nukes, it only has a handful of threats to worry about.

Now that you can see how the deck works, let’s go over the weaknesses. There are only a handful of them, but they really sting. One problem is that Demise and Dark Gaia, Dark Gaia especially, are trolled by Book of Moon and Effect Veiler.

Yes, I am indeed quite “mad”.

Dark Gaia is more open to getting trolled by those, since his ATK gets reset to 0 if he gets his by either. Other weaknesses are Thunder King Rai-Oh, and monsters that block Special Summons (e.g. Vanity’s Fiend, Archlord Kristya), as those block every single play in the deck, except Dark Hole or setting Manju. These are the key threats that a Side Deck for this deck would try to handle, aside from the obligatory top meta threats.

Overall, the decktype is quite solid, give it a try!
