Shooting Quasar Dragon
LIGHT/Dragon - Synchro - Effect/12/4000/4000
1 Tuner Synchro Monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Synchro Summon. This card can attack a number of times during the Battle Phase equal to the number of non-Tuner monsters used as Synchro Material Monsters. Once per turn, you can negate the activation of a Spell Card, Trap Card or Effect Monster's effect and destroy it. When this card is removed from the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Shooting Star Dragon" from your Extra Deck.
It's funny as it's technically a Stardust evolution, though Yusei didn't use Stardust to summon it. Eitther way, releasing this now was just stupid. I mean, few weeks ago, we got T.G. Halberd Cannon, which has the same Synchro Materials and stats, but far inferior effect to this. I mean, how can you compare a card with built-in once-per-turn Summon negation to a pure OTK machine? On the card itself, it's easy as hell to Summon in Fish, Flamvells or Cloudians. If you use only 3 monsters to Summon it, it's still a double-attacker that can do 8000 damage on clear field. It also lols at Mirror Force etc. And even if your opponent is stupid enough to use up 2 Dimensional Prisons on it, you still get a free Shooting Star. What not to love?
Stay tuned today for Shooting Quasar Dragon Turbo.
