● While in Attack Position: When you would take Effect Damage from an opponent's card effect, it is inflicted to your opponent's Life Points instead.
● While in Defense Position: When this card is destroyed by battle, during this turn, you take no Battle Damage.
Looks horrible, right? If it didn’t have “Morphtronic” in its name, you’d be right. However, since it is, it allows Morphs to have access to Formula Synchron, and possibly even Shooting Star Dragon on turn 1.
On top of that, Ancient Fairy Dragon can destroy Morphtronic Map to revive it and go for a LV8.
It’s also another target for One for One after Celfon gets tripled by Machine Duplication, preventing it from being a dead draw too soon.
With Morphtronics doing a ridiculous amount of revival, this thing can easily be used as a Junk Box target to upgrade a Synchro by a level.
And, in a pinch, it can be set for a Winged Kuriboh effect.
All in all, this thing is a good Morphtronic card, a rarity after the first two sets of Morphs. However, it’s not really for the effect, necessarily. It’s because it’s a LV1 Morphtronic Tuner.
